At Dr Sknn we take advantage of the Lynton Lumina, a state-of-the-art Intense Pulsed Light System (IPL) regularly employed by the NHS and private hospitals across the UK, to treat Facial Spider Veins safely and effectively on skin types I-IV. Through sending out light in a particular wavelength range, we target absorption peaks in haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin, allowing us to treat a selection of Facial Spider Veins at differing sizes and depths while causing minimal damage to the surrounding skin. Subsequent to treatment, the damaged vessels are taken up by the body, leaving little to no indication of the initial lesion.

At Dr Sknn, with IPL, we utilise light energy, the light being ingested by the blood vessels and heating them to a point where they enter into spasm and/or subside and block. During the subsequent weeks, the impaired vessels are consumed naturally by the body, with no trace of the initial lesion left.
