At Dr Sknn, a thorough consultation will take place before any Fractional CO2 Laser treatment. This includes a medical history, physical examination and photographs to assess suitability. During the consultation, you will have the opportunity to discuss any concerns or questions you may have about the treatment, as well as your expectations and desired results. Any post-treatment advice and risks associated with the treatment will be fully explained to you, and a consent form will be signed. If the treatment is in a new area, a small patch test may be performed to ensure suitability. For those with a skin type of III+, a topical product may need to be applied for 4 weeks prior to treatment. At Dr Sknn, safety and eligibility are our highest priority, so if found suitable, a patch test will also be performed before treatment. After a successful patch test, the treatment can be delivered, though the patch test may be extended to 2 weeks if certain medications are found in your medical history.
