When you visit Dr Sknn for a Fractional CO2 Laser treatment, the first step is a consultation. During this appointment, a medical history will be taken and a physical examination will be performed, including photographs. You'll have the opportunity to discuss any concerns, expectations, results or questions you may have, and you'll be informed of any post-treatment advice and risks associated with the procedure. In addition, a consent form will be signed before the treatment begins. If it's a new area being treated, a small patch test will be performed to ensure suitability. Safety and eligibility are top priorities at Dr Sknn, and a full consultation and patch test will be performed prior to any treatment to determine suitability. Following successful patch tests, the treatment can be delivered 48 hours later. Please note that if certain medications were found during your medical history, the patch testing may be extended to 2 weeks. If you have a skin type of III+, a topical application of product may be needed for 4 weeks before treatment.
