At Dr Skn, when you attend your consultation for Fractional CO2 Laser treatment, a comprehensive medical history, including a physical examination and photographs, will be taken. During this consultation, you will have the opportunity to discuss any concerns, expectations, results or queries you may have. The medical professional will also discuss any post-treatment advice and potential risks associated with the treatment, ensuring that you fully understand them before signing a consent form. If it is your first time having the treatment, a small patch test will be performed to ensure suitability. If your skin type is III+, you may need to apply a topical serum or product for four weeks before the treatment. Safety and eligibility for the treatment is of the utmost importance, which is why a full consultation is necessary. If you are deemed suitable, a patch test will be performed, and if successful, the treatment can be delivered 48 hours later. However, if certain medications are found during your medical history, the patch test may be extended to two weeks.
