Additionally, if it is a new area being treated, a small patch test will be performed to ensure suitability. For those with a skin type of III or above, a topical serum or product may be necessary for 4 weeks prior to treatment. Following a successful patch test, treatment can be delivered within 48 hours, although patch testing may be extended to 2 weeks if certain medications are found in your medical history.
