You will have the opportunity to discuss any concerns, expectations, results, or questions you may have, and any post-treatment advice and risks will be explained to you. A consent form will also be signed to ensure that you fully understand the procedure. If it is a new area being treated, a small patch test will be performed to ensure that the treatment is suitable for you. In some cases, if you have a skin type of III+, a topical product may need to be applied for 4 weeks prior to treatment. Safety and eligibility for treatment are of the utmost importance at Dr Skn, which is why a full consultation and patch testing are necessary before proceeding with the treatment.
