When you visit Dr Skn, you'll undergo a consultation that includes a medical history review and physical examination, which may involve taking photographs. This is the perfect opportunity to discuss any concerns or questions you may have, as well as your expectations and desired results. Prior to the Fractional CO2 Laser treatment, you'll receive information on post-treatment care and any associated risks. This ensures that you have a full understanding of the procedure and can provide informed consent by signing a form. If this is your first time being treated in a particular area, a small patch test may be necessary to determine if the treatment is suitable for you. If you have skin type III or above, a topical serum or product may need to be applied for 4 weeks prior to treatment. At Dr Skn, your safety and eligibility for treatment are top priorities, and as such, every patient receives a full consultation and patch test before treatment. Successful patch tests will allow for treatment to be performed 48 hours later. However, if you are taking certain medications, the patch test may need to be extended to 2 weeks.
