At Dr Skn, our consultations for Fractional CO2 Laser treatment include a thorough medical history, physical examination and photographs to ensure your safety and eligibility for the treatment. During the consultation, we provide an opportunity to discuss any concerns, expectations, results or questions you may have. We also discuss any post-treatment advice and risks associated with the treatment, and ensure that you fully understand them before signing a consent form. If it is a new area being treated, a small patch test is performed to ensure suitability. For patients with skin types of III or above, a topical serum may be required four weeks prior to treatment. Safety and suitability to treatment are our top priorities, and we perform a full consultation and patch test prior to treatment to ensure that it is the right choice for you. Following a successful patch test, treatment can be delivered after 48 hours, although this may be extended to two weeks if certain medications were found during your medical history. Additionally, for patients with skin types of III or above, a topical product may be required for four weeks prior to treatment.
