CO2 fractional ablative laser is a type of laser treatment used to enhance the appearance of wrinkles, scars, and other skin irregularities. This laser targets and eliminates a fraction of the skin's surface to stimulate collagen production and improve overall skin tone and texture. The laser emits thousands of tiny micro-columns to the affected area, making it effective in treating wrinkles, age spots, acne scars, and skin discoloration. It can also improve the appearance of stretch marks and laxity in the skin. Unlike other laser treatments, CO2 fractional ablative laser is a non-invasive procedure that does not require any downtime. It is safe and effective in reducing the appearance of skin irregularities and improving skin texture and tone on any part of the body. Results are typically seen within a few weeks and can last for several months. At Dr Sknn, we offer an advanced Fractional CO2 Laser treatment that stimulates new skin production within the dermis and epidermis. This treatment is suitable for all skin types, and it can treat fine lines, wrinkles, dyschromia, pigmented lesions, skin surface irregularities, enlarged pores, unwanted scars, sun damage, stretch marks, and loose skin. By improving the thickness and hydration of the dermis and epidermis, this laser treatment results in a healthier, glowing, and youthful appearance of the skin. We use a specific mid-infrared CO2 laser at 10,600 nm, delivering ablation and thermal effects in a methodical pattern with precise spacing between each laser emission, resulting in a faster

Doctor Led Fractional Laser Resurfacing Stockport - Benefits

Why Choose Dr Sknn for Fractional Laser Resurfacing

At Dr Sknn, when you attend for a consultation regarding Fractional CO2 Laser treatment, a thorough medical history will be taken along with a physical examination and photographs. This provides an opportunity for any concerns, expectations, results, or questions you may have to be discussed. The risks associated with the treatment and post-treatment advice will also be discussed, and a consent form will be signed to ensure you have fully understood the information. If you are having treatment in a new area, a small patch test will be carried out to ensure suitability. If your skin type is III+ then a topical application of serum may be needed for 4 weeks prior to treatment. Safety and eligibility are the highest priority, so a full consultation is always performed before treatment. If you are found suitable for the treatment, a patch test will be carried out. If successful, the treatment can be delivered after 48 hours. However, if certain medications were found during your medical history, the patch testing may be extended to 2 weeks. Additionally, if your skin type is III+, a topical product may need to be applied for 4 weeks prior to treatment.
