At Dr Skn, we conduct a thorough consultation prior to the Fractional CO2 Laser treatment, which includes a medical history review, physical examination, and photographs. During this time, we encourage our clients to discuss their expectations, concerns, and any questions they may have about the treatment. We also discuss post-treatment advice and potential risks to ensure that our clients fully understand the treatment process before signing a consent form. For new treatment areas, we perform a small patch test to ensure suitability. If a client has skin type III or above, a topical application of serum may be required for four weeks prior to treatment. We prioritize safety and eligibility to treatment, and therefore, perform a patch test before the treatment. Following a successful patch test, the treatment can be administered after 48 hours. However, the patch testing period may be extended up to two weeks if certain medications are found during the medical history review. If a client has skin type III or above, a topical application of product may be required four weeks prior to treatment.
