When you visit Dr Skn for a Fractional CO2 Laser consultation, your medical history and physical examination, along with photographs, will be taken. During the consultation, you will have the opportunity to discuss any concerns or expectations you have and ask any questions about the treatment. Post-treatment advice and risks associated with the Fractional CO2 Laser treatment will also be discussed to ensure you have a full understanding of the process. In addition, a consent form will be signed and a small patch test will be conducted to ensure suitability if it is a new area being treated. If your skin type is III+, a topical application of serum may be required for 4 weeks before the treatment. Safety and eligibility are top priorities at Dr Skn, and a full consultation and patch test will be performed before any treatment is carried out. Successful patch testing is required for treatment, and in some cases, such as when certain medications are found during medical history, patch testing may be extended up to 2 weeks.
