At Dr Skn, when you come in for a consultation regarding Fractional CO2 Laser treatment, a thorough medical history and physical examination including photographs will be conducted. This will be an opportunity for you to discuss any concerns, expectations, results or questions you may have. Before proceeding with the treatment, any post-treatment advice and risks associated with it will be discussed with you to ensure that you fully understand them, and a consent form will be signed. Additionally, if it is a new area being treated, a small patch test will be conducted to ensure suitability. If your skin type is III or above, a topical serum or product may be necessary for four weeks prior to treatment. At Dr Skn, safety and eligibility for treatment are the highest priorities, so a full consultation and patch test will be conducted to determine if the treatment is suitable for you. After a successful patch test, the treatment will be delivered 48 hours later. However, if certain medications are found during your medical history, the patch testing period may be extended to two weeks.
