At Dr Skn, a consultation will be carried out which includes taking your medical history, conducting a physical examination and capturing photographs. This will provide an opportunity to discuss any concerns, expectations, results or questions you may have regarding the Fractional CO2 Laser treatment. Before the treatment, we will explain any post-treatment advice and risks associated with the treatment to ensure that you have a full understanding, and a consent form will be signed. If this is your first time being treated, a small patch test will be conducted to ensure suitability. For individuals with a skin type of III+, a topical serum or product may be required for 4 weeks before the treatment. Safety and eligibility are our top priorities, and a full consultation will be carried out to determine suitability for the treatment. If deemed appropriate, a patch test will be performed, and after 48 hours, the treatment can be delivered following successful patch tests. Please note that patch testing may be extended to 2 weeks if certain medications were found during your medical history.
