At Dr Sknn we utilise the Lynton Lumina, a state-of-the-art Intense Pulsed Light System (IPL) that is also used by the NHS and private hospitals all over the UK, to safely and efficiently treat Intense Pulsed Light on skin types I-IV. With the light in specific wavelength ranges we can target absorption peaks in haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin, enabling us to treat Intense Pulsed Light of different sizes and depths without causing much damage to the surrounding skin. After treatment, the damaged vessels are taken in by the body, leaving little or no trace of the initial lesion.

At Dr Sknn, IPL is employed to make use of the energy of light. This light is taken in by the blood vessels, which are then heated to a degree that leads to spasming and/or collapsing, thus forming a seal. Over the course of a few weeks, the wrecked vessels are taken in by the body, leaving no hint of the original lesion.
