By sending out light in certain wavelength ranges, Dr Sknn is able to target absorption peaks in haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin, allowing us to treat lesions of various sizes and depths while causing minimal injury to the neighbouring skin. Following the treatment, the affected vessels will be absorbed by the body, leaving little or no sign of the original lesion.

At Dr Sknn, we make use of IPL to take advantage of light energy, this light is absorbed by the blood vessels which become so hot that they go into spasm and/or shrink and close. After a few weeks the spoiled vessels are taken in by the body so almost no trace of the initial wound is apparent.
