At Dr Sknn we deploy the Lynton Lumina, a state-of-the-art Intense Pulsed Light System (IPL), which is also utilised by the NHS and private hospitals across the United Kingdom, to safely and efficiently address Intense Pulsed Light on skin types I-IV. By broadcasting light in a determined wavelength range, our crew at Dr Sknn are able to target absorption peaks in haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin, allowing us to treat Intense Pulsed Light of different sizes and depths while causing minimal harm to the surrounding skin. After treatment, the damaged vessels are absorbed by the body, leaving little or no trace of the initial lesion.

Through implementation of IPL at Dr Sknn, light energy is utilised, the light being drawn in by the blood vessels, bringing them to a degree where they go into spasm and/or collapse, and hence sealing them. In the following weeks, the injured vessels are absorbed naturally by the body, leaving hardly any evidence of the initial impairment.
