Dr Sknn utilises the Lynton Lumina, a state-of-the-art Intense Pulsed Light System (IPL) that is also employed by the NHS and private hospitals all over the UK, to treat Intense Pulsed Light on skin types I-IV in a safe and efficient way. By emitting light in certain wavelength ranges we can target absorption peaks in haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin, enabling us to treat Intense Pulsed Light of various sizes and depths while causing minimal damage to the surrounding skin. After treatment, the damaged vessels are taken in by the body, leaving little or no evidence of the initial lesion.

At Dr Sknn, IPL is utilised to draw on the energy of light. The light is then absorbed by the blood vessels, heating them to the point where they spasm and/or collapse, thus sealing them off. Following this, the broken vessels are reabsorbed by the body, leaving no hint of the lesion.
