Through releasing light in exact wavelength ranges, the Lynton Lumina enables us at Dr Sknn to target absorption peaks in haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin, enabling us to treat IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) of different sizes and depths while causing minimal harm to the nearby skin. After treatment, the damaged vessels are ingested by the body, leaving little or no trace of the initial lesion.

At Dr Sknn, we take advantage of IPL to make use of light energy to heat up the blood vessels, causing them to spasm and/or collapse, thus sealing them. In the following weeks, the injured vessels will be naturally absorbed by the body, leaving little or no trace of the original blemish.
