By sending out light in particular wavelength ranges, at Dr Sknn we can target absorption peaks in haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin, thus being able to treat IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) of different sizes and depths without causing too much harm to the surrounding skin. Following treatment, the damaged vessels are taken up by the body and little or no trace of the initial lesion is left.

By implementing IPL at Dr Sknn, we are able to manipulate light energy, heating the blood vessels up to a point of having them spasm or shut down, thereby sealing them off. In the following weeks, the body will naturally take in the impaired vessels, so no sign of the original lesion is observable.
