At Dr Sknn, we utilise the Lynton Lumina - a state-of-the-art IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) System (IPL) - which is also employed by NHS and private hospitals throughout the UK, in order to safely and effectively treat IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) on skin types I-IV. By emitting light of particular wavelength ranges, the absorption peaks in haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin are targeted at Dr Sknn, allowing for treatment of IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) of varying sizes and depths, while inflicting minimal harm to the surrounding skin. Following treatment, the damaged vessels are absorbed by the body, with little to no trace of the initial lesion.

At Dr Sknn, we use IPL to exploit light energy, with the light being accepted by the blood vessels and heating them to the point where they spasm and/or wane. Subsequently, the impaired vessels are naturally broken down by the body, forfeiting little or no evidence of the original issue.
