At Dr Sknn, we make use of the Lynton Lumina - a state-of-the-art IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) System (IPL) - which is also used by NHS and private hospitals around the UK, for the purpose of safely and effectively treating IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) on skin types I-IV. By releasing light in specific wavelength ranges, absorption peaks in haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin can be targeted at Dr Sknn, enabling us to treat IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) of varying sizes and at varied depths, while inflicting minimal damage to the encompassing skin. After the procedure, the damaged vessels are absorbed by the body, with little or no trace of the initial lesion.

At Dr Sknn by means of IPL we make use of light energy, the light is consumed by the blood vessels which heats them to a point where they go into spasm and/or fall apart and seals.
