At Dr Sknn, the Lynton Lumina - a state-of-the-art IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) System (IPL) - is employed, which is also utilised by the NHS and private hospitals across the UK, in order to treat IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) safely and effectively on skin types I-IV. By emitting light in distinct wavelength ranges, absorption peaks in haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin are targeted at Dr Sknn, allowing for treatment of IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) at different sizes and depths, while causing minimal harm to the neighbouring skin. Subsequently, the damaged vessels are taken in by the body, leaving hardly any sign of the initial lesion.

At Dr Sknn, through IPL we employ light energy, the illumination is taken in by the blood vessels which heat them to a grade where they enter spasm and/or subside and seals. Over the succeeding weeks the broken vessels are naturally absorbed by the body so very little or no trace of the first sore is still there.
