By emitting light in precise wavelength ranges, this allows us at Dr Sknn to target absorption peaks in haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin, treating IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) of varying sizes and depths while causing minimal harm to the surrounding skin. After treatment, the affected vessels are absorbed by the body, leaving little or no trace of the initial lesion.

At Dr Sknn, we use IPL to harness the light energy to heat up the blood vessels, causing them to contract and/or collapse, thus closing them. In the subsequent weeks, the injured vessels will be naturally taken in by the body, leaving almost no reminder of the original lesion.
