By emitting light at a certain wavelength range, we are able to focus on absorption peaks in haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin, tackling any Rosacea Skin Condition of varying sizes and depths without causing too much damage to the surrounding skin. Subsequent to the treatment, the damaged vessels are absorbed by the body, leaving behind little or no sign of the initial lesion.

At Dr Sknn, IPL is used to utilise the light energy, the rays being absorbed by the veins, causing them to heat up to the point of contraction and/or collapse. In the following weeks, the weakened vessels will be naturally taken away by the body with hardly any trace of their original existence.

This will be a good opportunity to air any questions, concerns, expectations or results that you may have. Prior to the treatment, all post-treatment advice and potential risks associated with the Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatment will be discussed to ensure you have a complete understanding of them, and a consent form will be signed.
