At Dr Sknn, a consultation will be conducted before Fractional CO2 Laser treatment. This will involve a thorough medical history, physical examination and photographs. During the consultation, you will have the opportunity to discuss any concerns, expectations, results or questions you may have. The risks associated with the treatment and post-treatment advice will also be discussed and a consent form will be signed. In addition, if it is a new area being treated, a small patch test will be performed to ensure suitability. If your skin type is III+, a topical serum or product may be needed for 4 weeks before treatment. Safety and eligibility are our top priorities, so a patch test will be performed prior to any treatment to ensure suitability. If successful, treatment can be delivered 48 hours after the patch test. However, if certain medications were found during your medical history, the patch testing period may be extended up to 2 weeks.
