During this time, patients have the opportunity to express any concerns or ask questions regarding the treatment. The risks and post-treatment advice are also discussed in detail, and a consent form is signed to ensure patients fully understand the treatment. If it's the first time a patient is being treated, a small patch test is performed to ensure suitability for the treatment. For those with a skin type of III+, a topical serum may be required for four weeks before the treatment. Safety and eligibility for treatment are of utmost importance at Dr Skn, and the consultation process helps determine the best approach for each patient. After a successful patch test, the treatment can begin, but note that the patch testing period may be extended to two weeks if certain medications are found in a patient's medical history. Similarly, if a patient has skin type III+, a topical product may be required four weeks before the treatment.
