A consent form will be signed so you can be sure you understand the process. Should this be the first time the area is being treated, a patch test will be conducted to ensure suitability. For skin type III+, a topical serum application may be necessary for up to four weeks in advance of the treatment, as safety and suitability are of paramount importance at Dr Sknn. After a successful patch test, the treatment can be carried out, though for certain medications, the patch testing period may be extended for up to two weeks. If your skin type is III+, it may be required to apply a topical product for four weeks prior to the Fractional CO2 Laser treatment.
