When you visit Dr Sknn for a consultation about Fractional CO2 Laser treatment, the team will begin by taking your medical history, conducting a physical examination and taking photographs. During this consultation, you will have the opportunity to discuss any concerns or expectations you may have and ask any questions about the treatment. Before the treatment, you will be provided with post-treatment advice and any potential risks will be discussed with you, ensuring that you have a clear understanding of what to expect. If it is a new area being treated, a small patch test will be performed to ensure suitability. At Dr Sknn, ensuring safety and eligibility for treatment is of the highest priority. As no one size fits all, a full consultation will be performed prior to any treatment, and if deemed suitable, a patch test will be conducted. After 48 hours of patch testing, treatment can be delivered, but note that patch testing may be extended up to 2 weeks if certain medications were found during your medical history. Moreover, if you have skin type of III+, a topical application of product may be needed for 4 weeks prior to treatment.
