During the consultation, which includes a medical history and physical examination, as well as photographs, we take the time to discuss any concerns, expectations, results, or questions you may have. We also provide information on any post-treatment advice and risks associated with the treatment, ensuring that you fully understand them and sign a consent form. For new treatment areas, a small patch test is performed to ensure suitability. If your skin type is III+ then a topical application of serum may be needed for 4 weeks prior to treatment. Once suitability is confirmed, we perform the treatment after a successful patch test, which usually takes 48 hours. However, if any medication is found during your medical history, the patch test may be extended to 2 weeks.
