During the consultation, we encourage our patients to discuss any concerns or expectations they may have, in order to ensure that they are fully informed about the procedure. We also provide information about post-treatment advice and risks associated with the treatment, and obtain a signed consent form from the patient. Additionally, for new areas being treated, we perform a small patch test to ensure suitability. If the patient has a skin type of III or higher, a topical serum may be necessary for 4 weeks before treatment. Our top priority at Dr Sknn is safety and eligibility for treatment. We believe that one size does not fit all, so a full consultation and patch test is performed prior to any treatment. If the patient is suitable for treatment, we deliver the treatment after 48 hours post patch testing. It is important to note that patch testing may be extended to 2 weeks if certain medications were found during the medical history review.
