At Dr Sknn, prior to Fractional CO2 Laser treatment a thorough consultation is conducted to cover your medical history and physical examination, including photographs, to give you the chance to raise any queries, expectations, outcomes or worries you may have. To make sure you understand the process, a consent form will be signed and a small patch test performed to determine its suitability. If your skin type is identified as III+, a topical serum could be used four weeks before the treatment to prepare the skin. The safety and suitability for the procedure is of the utmost importance. After a successful patch test after 48 hours, the treatment can be performed. If certain medications are present in your medical history, the patch testing period may be increased up to two weeks and if your skin type is III+, a topical product could be necessary for four weeks prior to the treatment.
