This is your opportunity to express any queries, expectations, results or concerns you may have. The possible risks and post-treatment advice related to Fractional CO2 Laser treatment will be discussed in full and a consent form signed, so that you are aware of what to expect. If the area is being treated for the first time, a patch test will be done to assess suitability. Additionally, if your skin type is classed as III+, a topical serum may need to be applied for four weeks prior to treatment. At Dr Sknn, safety and suitability for treatment is of the utmost importance and a consultation will be conducted to ensure you are eligible for the Fractional CO2 Laser procedure. Following a successful patch test after 48 hours, the treatment can commence. However, if you are taking certain medications, the patch testing period could be prolonged for up to two weeks. If your skin type is III+, a topical product may need to be used for four weeks before the treatment.
