At Dr Sknn, a consultation will be conducted prior to the Fractional CO2 Laser treatment. This will involve taking your medical history, performing a physical examination, and taking photographs of the area being treated. During the consultation, you will have the opportunity to discuss any concerns, expectations, results, or questions you may have regarding the treatment. The risks associated with the treatment will also be discussed, and you will be given post-treatment advice to ensure that you fully understand the procedure. In addition, a consent form will be signed before the treatment. If it is a new area being treated, a small patch test will be conducted to ensure suitability. For those with skin type III or above, a topical application of serum may be required for four weeks before the treatment. Safety and eligibility are our top priorities at Dr Sknn, and as such, a patch test will be conducted to determine if you are suitable for the treatment. If you are found to be suitable, the treatment will be delivered 48 hours after the patch test. However, if certain medications are found during your medical history, the patch testing may be extended to two weeks. Additionally, if you have skin type III or above, a topical product may be required four weeks prior to the treatment.
