At Dr Skn, a consultation will be conducted prior to any Fractional CO2 Laser treatment. The consultation will involve a medical history review and a physical examination, which includes photographs of the treatment area. You will have the opportunity to discuss any concerns, expectations, results, or questions you may have regarding the treatment. The potential risks and post-treatment advice will also be discussed, and a consent form will be signed. For new treatment areas, a small patch test will be conducted to ensure suitability. If your skin type is III or above, a topical serum or product may be necessary for four weeks before treatment. Safety and eligibility are top priorities at Dr Skn, so a patch test will also be performed to determine suitability. Following a successful patch test, treatment can be delivered 48 hours later. However, if certain medications were found during your medical history, the patch testing period may be extended up to two weeks.
