Additionally, if it is a new area being treated, a small patch test will be performed to ensure suitability. For patients with skin types of III+, a topical application of serum or product may be required for 4 weeks prior to treatment. At Dr Sknn, we prioritize safety and eligibility to treatment, and therefore conduct full consultations and patch tests to determine suitability before proceeding with Fractional CO2 Laser treatment. Successful patch tests are necessary prior to treatment, and in some cases, the testing period may be extended up to 2 weeks if certain medications were found during the medical history assessment.
