This will include taking a comprehensive medical history and a physical examination, which includes taking photos. This consultation will give you the opportunity to talk about any questions, results or expectations you might have and the post-treatment advice and risks associated with the treatment will be discussed with you and a consent form will need to be signed. If it's the first time a certain area is being treated, a patch test will be done to assess its suitability. If your skin type is classed as III+, a topical serum may have to be used for 4 weeks before the treatment for preparation. At Dr Sknn, the security and appropriate treatment is of paramount importance and a full consultation will be conducted to make sure you are suitable for the Fractional CO2 Laser treatment. After 48 hours, the treatment can proceed, however if certain medications have been identified in your medical history, the patch testing period may be extended up to 2 weeks. In addition, if your skin type is III+, a topical product may need to be applied for 4 weeks prior to the treatment.
