This will involve taking a full medical history and undertaking a physical examination, which will include photographs. During the consultation, you can raise any questions or concerns you have about the treatment, results and post-treatment advice. The risks associated with the Fractional CO2 Laser treatment will be discussed with you, and a consent form will be signed to ensure you understand the procedure. If you are being treated in an area for the first time, a patch test will be conducted to determine your suitability. Furthermore, if your skin type is III+, a topical serum will need to be applied for 4 weeks prior to the treatment. At Dr Sknn, the safety and suitability of the Fractional CO2 Laser treatment is of paramount importance, and so a full consultation will be conducted to ensure you are eligible. Following a successful patch test after 48 hours, the treatment can be undertaken. However, if any medications are mentioned in your medical history, the patch testing period may be extended to up to 2 weeks.
