Before the procedure, you will be fully briefed on the post-treatment advice and risks associated with the Fractional CO2 Laser treatment and a consent form will be signed to confirm you understand the process. If this is the initial treatment on a certain area, a patch test will be conducted to assess suitability. If the skin type is identified as III+, a topical serum may be necessary for a period of 4 weeks before the treatment. At Dr Sknn, safety and appropriateness is most important, and a full consultation will be had to make sure you are eligible for the Fractional CO2 Laser treatment. After a successful patch test after 48 hours, the treatment can be done. Nonetheless, if any medicines are identified in your medical history, the patch testing period may be extended up to 2 weeks. If your skin type is III+, a topical product usage may be necessary for 4 weeks ahead of the treatment.
