If it is the first time a particular area is being treated, a patch test will be done to check its suitability. If your skin type is classed as III+, a topical serum may have to be applied for 4 weeks prior to the treatment for preparation. At Dr Sknn, the safety and suitability of the Fractional CO2 Laser treatment are of prime importance, and a full consultation will be conducted to make sure you are suitable for the procedure. After 48 hours, the treatment can be administered, however if certain medications have been identified in your medical history, the patch testing period may be extended up to 2 weeks. Additionally, if your skin type is III+, a topical product may need to be used for 4 weeks before the treatment commences.
