When you visit Dr Sknn for a Fractional CO2 Laser treatment, your safety and suitability for the treatment will be our top priority. We will begin with a consultation, during which we will conduct a medical history review, physical examination, and take photographs. This is also an opportunity for you to discuss any concerns, expectations, results, or questions you may have. We will then discuss any post-treatment advice and potential risks associated with the treatment to ensure you fully understand them before signing a consent form. If it's your first time receiving treatment in a particular area, a small patch test will be performed to ensure suitability. If you have skin type III or higher, we may need you to apply a topical serum for four weeks before the treatment. Following a successful patch test, the treatment can be carried out after 48 hours. Please note that the patch test may be extended to two weeks if certain medications were found during your medical history.
