At Dr Skn, when you book a consultation for Fractional CO2 Laser treatment, a thorough medical history will be taken, and a physical examination, including photographs, will be carried out. This is to ensure that the treatment is safe and suitable for you. During the consultation, you will have the opportunity to discuss any concerns, expectations, or questions you may have, and any potential risks associated with the treatment will be explained. A consent form will also be signed before treatment commences. If it is the first time you are having a particular area treated, a small patch test may be performed to ensure that the treatment is suitable for you. If you have skin type III or above, a topical application of serum or product may be needed for four weeks prior to treatment. At Dr Skn, your safety and eligibility for treatment is our top priority, and we always take the time to ensure that each patient is treated on an individual basis. Following a successful patch test, treatment can begin 48 hours later. However, if you are taking certain medications, patch testing may be extended to two weeks.
