At Dr Sknn, we use the Lynton Lumina, a leading-edge Intense Pulsed Light System (IPL). This is the same technology that is employed by the NHS and private hospitals across the UK to treat Thread Vein on skin types I-IV. This system utilises light in specific wavelength ranges which target absorption peaks in haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin. This allows us to treat Thread Vein of various sizes and depths without causing significant damage to the skin around it. Following the procedure, the damaged vessels are absorbed back by the body, leaving no signs of the original lesion.

Here at Dr Sknn, we apply Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) to send light energy which is then consumed by the blood vessels, elevating their temperature to the level of constriction or closing, and consequently sealing them. In the next few weeks, the damaged vessels are absorbed by the body, without displaying any sign of the original lesion.
