During this time, you will have the opportunity to discuss any concerns or expectations you may have about the treatment, and ask any questions you may have. Before the treatment, you will be informed of any post-treatment advice and risks associated with the treatment, ensuring that you have a full understanding before you sign a consent form. In addition, if it is the first time you are having the treatment in a specific area, a small patch test will be performed to make sure that the treatment is suitable for you. If your skin type is III or higher, a serum or product may need to be applied for four weeks before the treatment. After 48 hours, if the patch test is successful, the treatment can go ahead. If any medications are found in your medical history, the patch test may be extended up to two weeks.
