At Dr Sknn, one will go through a comprehensive consultation before Fractional CO2 Laser treatment which includes a medical history, physical examination and photography. This is a great chance to ask any questions or voice any anxieties one may have. Before the treatment, all the post-treatment advice and risks associated with the Fractional CO2 Laser treatment will be clearly outlined, and a consent form will be signed to ensure understanding. If one is trialling a particular area for the first time, a patch test will be carried out to determine eligibility. For skin type III+ a topical serum application may be necessary for 4 weeks prior to the treatment. At Dr Sknn, safety and suitability for the treatment is a priority and a full consultation will be conducted to ensure eligibility. After 48 hours a successful patch test, the treatment can be done. However, if one is taking certain medications, the patch testing period may be extended up to 2 weeks. Furthermore, if skin type is III+, it's possible a topical product application needs to be applied for 4 weeks before the treatment.
