At Dr Sknn we take advantage of the Lynton Lumina, a state-of-the-art Intense Pulsed Light System (IPL), which is also employed by NHS and private clinics throughout the UK, to treat Neck Redness with safety and efficacy on skin types I-IV. By sending out light in certain wavelength ranges at Dr Sknn, we target absorption peaks in haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin, thus allowing us to treat Neck Redness of different sizes and depths while causing little damage to the skin around. Subsequent to treatment, the damaged vessels are absorbed by the body and little or no sign of the original lesion is left.

By way of IPL at Dr Sknn, we use light energy which is taken in by the Neck Redness, heating them to a level where they contract or fall apart and get sealed. In the following weeks, the impaired vessels are taken in by the body naturally, leaving very little or no evidence of the original lesion.

At Dr Sknn, a medical history and physical examination including photographs is carried out during the consultation. This is the time to discuss any concerns, expectations, results, or questions. Ahead of the Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatment, any post-treatment advice and risks connected to it are talked through making sure you are totally aware of them and a consent form is then signed.
