At Dr Sknn, the Lynton Lumina is employed - a high-end Intense Pulsed Light System (IPL). This is also used by the NHS and private hospitals across the UK, to treat Neck Redness on skin types I-IV without any harm to the neighbouring skin. By sending out light in a specific wavelength, we are able to target the absorption peaks in haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin, thus enabling us to treat lesions of various sizes and depths. Following the treatment, the damaged vessels are absorbed by the body, leaving no trace of the initial lesion.

Dr Sknn puts IPL to work in order to leverage light energy, the light being absorbed by the Neck Redness and heated until they go into spasm and/or collapse, forming a seal. Afterwards, the injured vessels are naturally absorbed by the body, leaving no or minimal indication of the starting lesion.

At Dr Sknn, during the initial consultation a medical history including a physical examination and taking photographs will be done.
