The light emitted at Dr Sknn is of a unique wavelength range that targets haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin absorption peaks. This enables us to treat Poikiloderma of any size and depth with minimal skin damage. The body absorbs the damaged vessels and the initial lesion is barely visible afterwards.

At Dr Sknn, we employ IPL to make use of light energy, which is taken in by the vessels of the blood, heating them to the point of spasm and/or closure, thus constructing a seal. Over the following weeks, the harmed vessels are usually consumed by the body so there is almost no trace of the initial mark.
