By radiating light in particular wavelength ranges, we at Dr Sknn target absorption peaks in haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin, thus being able to treat Poikiloderma of various sizes and depths, while causing minimal injury to the nearby skin. Following the treatment, the damaged vessels are absorbed by the body, leaving no sign of the initial lesion.

At Dr Sknn, IPL is employed to make the most of the energy of light. This light is taken in by the Poikiloderma, causing them to heat up until they reach a point where they go into spasm and collapse. Over the following weeks, the impaired vessels are cleared away by the body, leaving only a small trace of the original lesion.
