At Dr Sknn we employ the Lynton Lumina, a state-of-the-art Intense Pulsed Light System (IPL), which is also used by the NHS and private hospitals across the UK, to treat Poikiloderma safely and effectively on skin types I-IV. By sending out light in particular wavelength ranges at Dr Sknn we focus on absorption peaks in haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin, allowing us to treat Poikiloderma of various sizes and depths while causing minimal damage to the neighbouring skin. After the procedure the harmed vessels are taken in by the body and there is little to no trace of the initial lesion.

At Dr Sknn, by capitalising on IPL, we make use of light energy, this light is absorbed by the Poikiloderma, heating them to a point of spasm and/or deactivation, sealing them off. Over the following weeks, the damaged vessels are naturally taken in by the body, leaving little or no reminder of the initial mark.
