At Dr Sknn, we utilise the Lynton Lumina, a sophisticated Intense Pulsed Light System (IPL). This system is used by the NHS and private hospitals in the UK to treat Poikiloderma on skin types I-IV in a safe and successful way. By emitting light of certain wavelengths, we are able to pinpoint the absorption peaks of haemoglobin and oxy-haemoglobin, permitting us to treat Poikiloderma of varied sizes and depths with scant damage to the surrounding skin. Once the treatment is complete, the broken vessels are reabsorbed by the body, leaving hardly any trace of the original lesion.

At Dr Sknn we are employing IPL, which involves the application of light energy, causing the Poikiloderma to heat up and constrict, leading to their collapse. Subsequently, the damaged vessels are absorbed by the body, so that no trace of the original lesion is visible.
